Lasik
LASIK (Laser in-Situ- Keratomileusis) is a specialized technique that reshapes the surface of the cornea with an excimer laser, rapidly correcting vision problems. LASIK is outpatient surgery performed in Dr. Russ Van Norman’s outpatient LASIK surgery clinic lasting ten to fifteen minutes.
Cataracts
Cataracts start small, and initially they may only have a small effect on your vision. Things may seem a little blurry — like looking at a kaleidoscope or as if you were in an impressionist painting. The world may seem cloudy, blurry, or dim increasing over time until visual assistance is needed.
Glaucoma
Glaucoma is a medical disease that affects the eye. It can occur after fluid builds up in the front part of the cornea. The pressure in the eye caused by this fluid buildup is what leads to damage to the optic nerve. Glaucoma is one of the leading causes of blindness in people over 60 years old.
General Eye & Vision Care
Vision problems often start subtly, with only a slight impact on your ability to see clearly. You might notice things appear a bit blurry, like looking through a foggy window or as if the world is gently out of focus. Over time, these issues can progress, making your vision seem cloudier, dimmer, or less vibrant, eventually requiring attention or corrective measures to restore clarity.
